Condition: Dizziness
NeuroRecovery Program
Dizziness, also described as vertigo or loss of balance, is the second most common complaint heard in doctor’s offices today.
As many as 76 million Americans will experience these symptoms at some time during their lives.
Diagnoses
What is Dizziness?
Although dizziness is quite common, the cause for each person’s symptoms can vary greatly.
Different types of dizziness require different treatments.
Therefore, anyone who is suffering from dizziness should seek out a trained specialist to undergo a thorough evaluation and begin a specific treatment plan unique to their condition.
At The Neurological Wellness Institute, we do not believe in cookie-cutter treatments for dizziness.
All too often patients are given the same book of exercises no matter their individual cause or symptoms of their dizziness.
This one-size-fits-all approach we believe to be ineffective in many cases and produces limited results, and many times may make the symptoms worse.
All of our patients’ dizziness treatments are specific to their individual needs.
When to Seek Immediate Medical Attention
Dizziness and vertigo can be unsettling, but in some cases, they indicate a more serious issue. It’s essential to seek immediate medical help if dizziness or vertigo is accompanied by symptoms like severe headaches, chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, or sudden vision changes. These symptoms – when combined with dizziness – may point to a more serious underlying condition that requires prompt attention. Recognizing these warning signs and acting quickly can prevent complications.
