Ask Dr. Nick
On today’s episode, Dr. Nick talks about the benefits of breathing properly and breath control. Breathing is foundational to life as oxygen is necessary for survival. It is so natural that we never think about it, and for the most part, we get the air necessary for us to live. However, breathing can be completed improperly as a result of or causing imbalances in the brain and body. When breath control is learned and practiced, it improves functioning in the central nervous system leading to physiological outcomes that can be measured and psychological improvements that are experienced. Taking time every day to practice breath control can improve one’s resilience to stress and enhance the brain’s function in autonomic control of the body. Check out the video for more in depth information on how to breathe properly to change your life!
