Dr. Dominic LaSpisa
DC
Dr. Dominic is no stranger to the consequences of not receiving proper care. After witnessing his mother struggle through the traditional Western medical system following a debilitating car accident, he was inspired to pursue a more empathetic, patient-centered approach to medicine. From a young age, he knew he wanted to become a chiropractor—largely because one had played a key role in his mother’s recovery.
Despite being diagnosed with a learning disability early in life, Dr. Dominic never let that define him. While academic challenges made school difficult, he made up for it with an unwavering work ethic. He has been consistently employed since the age of sixteen, all while dedicating himself to his studies and seeking opportunities to help improve the health of those around him.
After graduating high school, he enrolled in community college and became a NASM-certified personal trainer, gaining valuable hands-on experience working with clients. He later took on the role of lead rehab technician at ADIO Chiropractic, where he expanded his knowledge by working with more delicate patient populations, rehabilitating injuries like ACL and meniscus tears, shoulder dislocations, and helping patients get their mobility back after knee and hip replacements.
Dr. Dominic went on to graduate as the salutatorian of his class with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and immediately went into the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences, where he tutored anatomy at the highest level and was introduced to functional neurology, a field he quickly grew passionate about. Hearing success stories from fellow students interning in functional neurology clinics and witnessing the discipline’s ability to treat complex neurological cases, only deepened his interest.
He became an active member—and later president—of the university’s Functional Neurology Club, where he not only advanced his own knowledge but also taught others and helped grow interest in the field.
While in his chiropractic internship at our Wood Dale office for the better half of a year, Dr. Dominic worked hands on with many difficult neurological cases such as vertigo, concussions, POTS, migraines, and dystonia, just to list a few. He is now thrilled to bring his skills to the community of Waukesha Wisconsin. He is currently preparing to sit for his Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB) exam, which he is scheduled to take in October 2025.
