Dr. Kelsey Brenner
DC, DACNB, FABBIR
Dr. Brenner’s passion for brain health began at a very young age. Several of her family members, including her twin sister, have been affected by conditions impacting the brain and she herself experienced multiple concussions while playing soccer through college. These experiences gave her a personal understanding of how a brain injury can affect one’s body, emotions, and cognition. She also understands the impact these conditions have on the surrounding family members, and how important maintaining their own brain health is as well.⠀
Dr. Brenner attended Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, majoring in mathematics and pre-medicine. She continued onto Life University in Atlanta, Georgia and began working towards earning her Doctorate in Chiropractic. Within a month of beginning classes, Dr. Brenner was introduced to the specialty of Functional Neurology. The focus on the brain with a holistic approach matched perfectly with Dr. Brenner’s family and personal experiences.⠀
She studied under Dr. Frederick Carrick and eventually began teaching to both students and practicing physicians as the president of the Functional Neurology Club. She continued her studies by receiving the highest level of training in Functional Neurology by attaining her Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology / Functional Neurology and a Fellowship in Brain Injury and Rehabilitation. She also received her health coach training from Duke Integrative Medicine and has advanced training in QEEG brain map analysis and neurofeedback training.⠀
Dr. Brenner’s previous clinical experience includes clinical consulting across Europe and Australia as well as serving as Lead Clinician and Director of Clinical Operations at South Florida Integrative Health in Miami, Florida. Dr. Brenner currently has 25 publications in neurology research journals and continues to expand her knowledge and research efforts each year.⠀
