Ask Dr. Nick
On today’s episode, Dr. Nick talks about the most nutrient-dense foods to eat. Nutrient density can be described in multiple ways, but the article discussed looked specifically at micronutrients that are commonly deficient in low- and middle-income groups across the globe. These micronutrients are iron, zinc, vitamin A, calcium, folate, and vitamin B12. They all play specific roles in the body, and deficiencies in each can provoke many symptoms and even result in severe diseases. For this reason, it is important to prioritize these nutrient dense foods into our lives to ensure adequate physical, mental, and emotional health. Check out the video for more in depth information on which foods supply the most of these nutrients and why they are important!
