Ask Dr. Nick
On today’s episode, Dr. Nick talks about these three overlapping conditions and how they are related. Each syndrome has problems with getting blood flow to the brain. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is traditionally described as only having symptoms when sitting for long periods or standing. However, patients with POTS can also deal with brain fog and decreased processing speed without this stipulation. These are due to the lack of cerebral/brain blood flow that supplies oxygen and nutrients to the brain areas that may be weakened following a head injury, chronic infections, or other lasting illness. Check out the video for more in depth information on how to improve blood flow to the brain for proper healing!
