Ask Dr. Nick
On today’s episode, Dr. Nick talks about the cerebellum and how we use it during treatment. The cerebellum is termed the ‘little brain’ because it is much small than the cerebral cortex (big brain) and sits just underneath. The cerebellum has more neurons than the rest of the brain combined! It is the conductor as it coordinates voluntary movements, thoughts, and emotions. Because the cerebellum is involved in so many processes, it talks to many other areas of the brain. We can activate the cerebellum in multiple ways to stimulate other areas that need blood flow and healing. Check out the video for more in depth information on how the cerebellum is used in treatment!
