Dr. Adam Shadick (DC, DACNB) was born and raised in Menasha WI, graduating as a Blue Jay in 2006. Dr. Shadick received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where he majored in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He then went on to complete his Doctorate at Northwestern Health Science University in MN.
Early on in his schooling, Dr. Shadick was fortunate to learn alongside some of the best Sports Medicine Doctors in the country. This experience helped shape his future as a clinician. In 2013, while still in Chiropractic school, he was offered the opportunity to complete his preceptorship with Dr. James Kurtz (DC, DACBS, Seattle Seahawks Chiropractor, Owner NW Sports Rehab). The opportunity to learn and relocate to Seattle, Washington is something he will forever be grateful for.
Following graduation in 2013, Dr. Shadick was offered a position in a highly respected Professional Athlete Division in Minnesota. Here he learned and worked alongside Dr. Josh Sandell (DC, DACBS), Dr. Jon Graves (DC, Minnesota Vikings Chiropractor), and Dr. Thomas Olsen (DC, CSCS, Philadelphia Eagles Chiropractor) every single day. Being exposed to the thought process behind the multifactorial nature of injuries and applying that to the treatment of, and more importantly the prevention to injuries was their specialty. When athletes of that caliber are the only individuals coming into the office, your absolute best is expected and required.
During his time working with professional athletes his desire for a better understanding of human function, particularly the neurological role in noncontact injuries grew. To accomplish this goal Dr. Shadick moved from MN to FL, and in 2016 he enrolled at the Carrick Institute for Graduate studies in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 2019 Dr. Shadick completed his studies and exams and was admitted into the American Chiropractic Neurology Board as a Diplomate (DACNB).
After receiving his Diplomate, he has taken specialty courses in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Concussion/mTBI, POTS/Dysautonomia, Neural Visual Training, Visual-Vestibular Integration, and is currently enrolled in the Carrick Institutes’ Neuro-Developmental-Disorders program in his quest to better understand human function.
Dr. Shadick’s unique training and knowledge allows him to help patients suffering from athletic injuries, chronic pain conditions, concussion/mTBI, POTS/Dysautonomia, balance disorders, vision disorders, brain disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and is proudly part of the rapidly growing field of Chiropractic Functional Neurology.
